We offer a wide variety of services as listed below. These services may be chosen and curtailed to suit your properties unique needs.
Lawn Maintenance
- Lawn Mowing- Turf areas will be mowed at a recommended height of 3-3.5 inches every 7-10 days, weather permitting, during the growing season. Grass clippings may be collected and hauled away for recycling or mulched back into the turf.
- String Trimming & Edging- Grass and weeds around curbs, sidewalks, ornamental beds, fence lines, and trees within the turf area will be properly trimmed with a string trimmer as needed during each mowing visit. A well defined edge will be kept using a string trimmer along sidewalks and curb line. (If necessary, for additional charge, a mechanical edger may be needed to establish the initial edge).
- Blowing & Clean up- All hard surfaces and mulched areas will be blown free of all debris resulting from mowing and trimming operations at the end of each visit
- Leaf Removal- During the Fall months, leafs are collected from the property and either left curbside for pick up, disposed onsite, or hauled away to be recycled for an additional charge.
Lawn Care
- Soil testing- As per the MD Dept. of Agriculture, we are required to take a soil test once every three years. This test helps us analyze your soil conditions so that we may devise a nutrient management program that will benefit your turfs health and also control the leaching of nutrients into the Chesapeake Bay.
- Fertilizer and Weed Control- As per soil test results and turf condition, a solid fertilizer and weed control program will be devised to properly care for your turf. Most programs consist of 4-6 applications. Visits are appropriately timed throughout a season.
- Fungicide and Pest Control- Your turf will be monitored for disease and pest problems. Should a concern arise you would be notified of the issue, the recommended action need to resolve the issue, and the cost.
- Aeration and Seeding- Recommended to be done in the Fall. Renovate your turf to promote new growth. Aeration removes cores of soil from a compact ground which allows air and water to flow to the turfs root system easier promoting a healthier growing environment. By overseeding at the same time you are introducing younger and more vigorous grass plants to your turf stand.
- Dethatching- A process where a mechanical rake is used to remove thatch buildup from your lawn. Thatch is layer of un-decomposed plant materials such as grass roots, stems, and leaves that can build up and become harmful to your lawn.
- Top Dressing- A process of spreading a composted soil material such as Orgro or Leafgro over top of a lawn to introduce organic material into the soil. We recommended this to be done in the Fall usually in conjunction with aeration and overseeding. By doing so you create a good soil contact for the seed, enrich the soil makeup, and also aid in reducing soil compaction.
- Sod- Instant gratification. If you need a lawn fast this is the way to go. We will prep your soil and roll out the sod and you have a lawn. Just add water…
